The Porsche Carrera GT is a German supercar that is simply insane. This car was originally sold for $448,000 and only 1,500 units were made. Today you can find a Porsche Carrera GT for $700,000. This car was produced in 2005 and came with a 5.7L V10 engine making 605hp and a 0-60 time of around 3.5 seconds with a top speed of 208mph. This car’s performance was solely based on the driver’s performance not the car’s.

This car was truly wild by its time periods and todays time period. This Porsche was only supposed to be a prototype with only 558hp. So the prototype, which could have been as wild as porsche wanted, wasn’t even as powerful as the one they built for the public. Also, this car’s 0-60 time was based off of skill. The more skillfully you could handle the car, the faster you went. This car didn’t even come with basic car stability controls which are now mandated in America.

The Porsche Carrera GT is a manual transmission only, which makes it kind of difficult to handle if you’re not experienced. This car is something all insurance companies want to avoid because of how unreliable the driving experience can be. Porsche has been involved in countless lawsuits concerning high profile crashes and deaths. This should not discourage you from buying this car, but instead encourage you to buy this car because it is truly the last real supercar where skill is more important than anything else. This is truly the pinnacle of all supercar based production of its time and is one of the most iconic cars ever made.
