Lamborghini LM002: The Ultimate Off Roader

The Lamborghini LM002 was designed and produced by Lamborghini to be the ultimate off roader for military usage. This plan backfired when the military did not want the car due to its high cost and low mpg rating. Once this happened, Lamborghini modified it so that it could be street legal in 1986. The original asking price was $160,000 but due to its rarity and low production rate, the cheapest one that you will find today will cost roughly about $340,000.

The Lamborghini LM002 uses the same V12 engine from the Lamborghini Countach and produces 444hp and 368 pound-feet of torque, making it the most powerful truck of its time. In addition to this, it has a fuel tank that is an excess of 70 gallons. This should have sounded appealing to the military because of long distance trips just until they found out that it only gets about 8 mpg. 

There are many interesting features about this car including the fact that it has handrails and benches in the truck bed. This was designed so that you can have as many people as possible and still be able to be sort of safe. The car is a 2+2 that can reach a top speed of 118mph and can do the 0-60 time in 7.7 seconds. One interesting fact about this car is that the reason why the hood looks like it has a bunch of misshapen bumps is because the engine was so big that they had to make the hood look weird in order to fit the engine inside.

This amazing car can plow straight through deep puddles of water and can do all sorts of adventurous and daring trails due to the immense power given to it. The Lamborghini LM002 had one of the widest tires of its day in order to maintain a solid grip at all times. This Lamborghini does not sound like a normal car but actually sounds like a sports car making your driving experience all the more enjoyable.
