The Ferrari SF90 Stradale is one of the very few plugin hybrid cars that Ferrari is producing. Its gas tank is supposedly smaller than the electric engine, but comes with almost as much power as the famous LaFerrari. It comes stock with a stunning 986hp, a 0-6 time of 2.4 seconds and a top speed of 211mph. This is also one of the more expensive Ferraris starting at $625,000 before options, due to all the technological advancements.
The SF90 will be one of the most powerful Ferrari cars ever built. Its V8 engine produces over 700hp and its electric motors make and additional 300hp. To add to the top speed, the car is extremely aerodynamic. Being very low to the ground with very minimal drag helps you achieve very high top speeds. Its design was intended to combine both elegance with pure performance.
One interesting feature put on the car, to avoid having to put a spoiler on, is the “S duct.” What this basically is, is a curved hole in the hood that allows air to pass through it. Instead of the air just hitting the car, it goes through it. Then that air is directed to go over the car. This adds down force because the air adds pressure, keeping the car on the ground. This car’s sole purpose was to be as sporty as possible. This stunning car even goes as far as sharing certain design elements with Formula 1 cars.
This car has many cool features, but aerodynamically it is amazing. Ferrari makes sure that not a single piece of the car will slow the car down. They even go as far as even making the headlight a functional air intake to reduce drag.
Ferrari wants you to focus on the road ahead, so now literally everything is controlled from the steering wheel. From the wheel, you can do things like customize the infotainment system and change different drive modes. The theory here is that Ferrari wants everything in front of you so that you never have to take your eyes off the road.
Ferrari has truly made one of the most impressive cars by introducing the SF90 Stradale. It can be fierce when it wants to , but as quiet as a Tesla when it has to.
