The Porsche Taycan is an all electric vehicle that some people might say can defeat Tesla, but I do not think that is completely true. This car starts at $103,000 with 562 hp or $180,000 with 750hp. This Porsche can do the 0-60 in 2.4 seconds, but only has 200 miles of range.

Porsche has done well with the look of the car, but the price kind of destroys it. A Tesla model S, which compares to theTaycan, can do the 0 to 60 just as fast but only costs $70,000. Also, Porsche focused more on the luxuries not the actual performance of the car as much.
This Porsche is not all that bad though, it features some things that Tesla does not. For example, on the navigation screen it outlines how far from wherever you are you can make it in all directions. This then allows you to calculate your trip to make sure you have enough battery range. The range on this car though is very minimal. Although the range claims to be 200 miles the harder you press on the gas the quicker you run out of the mileage. If you’re going to do a quick pull in your Porsche Taycan, you could use up as much as 20 miles of range within such a short amount of time.
Lastly, Porsche has focused on the futuristic look of the car. In some aspects of the car this can look really cool and futuristic like with the look of the car and the technology used in it. Sometimes, this technology can be quite unusable or hard to use. One example of this is the air conditioning. Instead of having movable air vents, you have to click onto your center screen and go to the air conditioning button. Once you have done that, then you need to start rearranging the airflow from the screen directed towards you. This can be very difficult as it takes your attention off the road and you can never fully get the airflow where you want it.

In the end, the Porsche Taycan has near unmatchable performance, but also needs a lot of work on range management. Things like the price and the amount of range you can blow right past, is what makes Tesla more worth it to buy because it is half the price and offers almost double the range. With some major adjustments, the Porsche Taycan could be the next competition to Tesla.
